Amanda Jean Gray joined us on November 5th, 2005.  Labor and delivery went reasonably well, and Amanda weighed in at a bouncing 9lb 7oz.  

 Stephanie's being a terrific big sister, and Jamie's Mom and Dad have been helping out.

"Did you have a good day today, honey?"

 "Yeah.  There weren't any robots."

Since learning that she will soon have a new little sister, Stephanie is handling it well, mostly.  Sometimes, she decides she'd still like to be treated like a baby, too, and so she reverts to an alternative persona.  "I'm not Stephanie, I'm Ick", she'll insist, while crawling around and playing with a pacifier.  We have no idea where the name came from.

 She doesn't name everything, but she does come up with some good ones.  One doll is called "Little", which is quite distinct from "Little Sister".  Another one is named "Headache"; the band-aid on top of her head might have something to do with it.

She's got a name picked out for her new little sister, of course.  After little sister is born, her name will be "Bready". 

"So, what do you want for breakfast?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing.  Hmm.  Let me see if we have any."  I open the cabinet, grab an imaginary box.  "Hey, here's the nothing.  Let me see if  there's any left.  Yep, I think there's still a bit in  there.  You want some?"
